Groundswell Reading Notes Chapters 10-12

All of the following reading notes below come from Groundswell winning in a world transformed by social technologies by Charlene Li and Josh Bernoff. Chapters 10-12.

Unilever’s example is to incorporate the three elements of groundswell thinking into your organization:

  1. Take small steps that have big impact.
  2. Have a vision and a plan.
  3. Build leaders into the plan.

Lessons learned from groundswell thinkers. First, never forget that the groundswell is about person-to-person activity. Second, be a good listener. Third, to be patient. Fourth, be opportunistic. Fifth, be flexible. Sixth, be collaborative. Seventh, be humble.

(All of the following notes were from pages 202-240.)
